چکیده

Accurate recognition of Agaricus bisporus is a prerequisite for precise automatic harvesting in factory environment. Aimed at segmenting mushrooms adhering together from the complex background, this paper proposes watershed-based segmentation algorithm A. bisporus. First, foreground extracted via Otsu threshold and morphological operations. Then, preliminary novel iterative marker generation method are proposed to prepare watershed markers. On basis, marker-controlled adopted segment recognize individuals. All algorithms implemented based on OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision) libraries. Tests images collected cultivation bed show that average correct rate 95.7%, diameter measurement error 1.15%, coordinate deviation 1.43%. The processing time 705.7 ms per single image, satisfying real-time constraints 1 image/s. performed better than current Circle Hough Transform (OpenCV’s implementation). It convenient easy operate, providing sound basis subsequent research mechanized equipment

Brain Tumor Segmentation Based on Structuring Element Map Modification and Marker-controlled Watershed Transform

Brain medical images are generally prone to noise and also fraught with intensity heterogeneity within the tumor. Fuzzy and boundary discontinuity caused by the tumor also adversely affects the accuracy of the tumor segmentation. A method based on morphological structuring element map modification and markercontrolled watershed segmentation is proposed. Firstly, a structuring element map is con...

Detection of Oral Tumor based on Marker – Controlled Watershed Algorithm

Oral cancer is a significant health problem throughout the world. It is very important to detect such types of cancer at an earlier stage than the later stage where the treatment becomes unsuccessful. Early detection helps surgeons to provide necessary therapeutic measures which also benefit the patients. In this paper, a technique is proposed to detect cancers present in mouth provided by an O...

A Novel Spot-Enhancement Anisotropic Diffusion Method for the Improvement of Segmentation in Two-dimensional Gel Electrophoresis Images, Based on the Watershed Transform Algorithm

Introduction Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2DGE) is a powerful technique in proteomics for protein separation. In this technique, spot segmentation is an essential stage, which can be challenging due to problems such as overlapping spots, streaks, artifacts and noise. Watershed transform is one of the common methods for image segmentation. Nevertheless, in 2DGE image segmentation, the no...
